As a general rule they only replace the bad component. Lets just say, your engine blew and it grenaded you block, but everything else if OK. Then you will get a new block. Can you get an all new engine? YES, I did, but what happened was I had an extended warranty that took it out to 125,000 miles and XX years. At the point the engine blew I had 124XXX miles. since some years had passed they did have individual componets like that, so they sent a complete block assebly. But yours is new and you will prob get the primary componet...not sure what bolt they are talking about. Could be a rocker arm bolt, broke and dropped a valve or something like that and it crashed into the piston then most likely a block and a cyl head.I'll find out exactly which bolt is was (and post) when I talk to the dealer again tomorrow
