Nothing underscores the lowest common denominator in human IQ and preparedness like driving behavior. I have a professional lifetime of experience documenting unfathomable stupidity. That’s what causes gridlock on our roads 99% of the time (with the other 1% being downed trees, flooding, avalanche, road failure and such).Only uncomfortable part was eyeballing my coffee mug....my bladder was screaming. I didn't have to resort to that though...
Yes, I've been stressing I'm worried about ice the most... 100% agreed. Luckily, most of my driving is either on the Interstate or urban roads where the speed limit is 30... I'm mostly worried about driving down and icy hill... I've driven through an ice storm in the Rocky Mountains in a FWD Accord.Snow is one thing … you may want to be a little more cautious on ice. In 2WD, even with snow tires, she can get a little ”tail-happy” if you hit the gas too hard.
I would just be grateful seeing my off-road lights were still there after parking in a long-term airport lot! After a Christmas vacation to warmer climate, we came back to Eastern WA to this

I didn't add the "urinator"....but I did order a tow strap to keep in the back. I could have offered a little help while I was out (which is risky I know, but some people were like me...had to be out in the mess because of work...) I will help where I can.Nothing underscores the lowest common denominator in human IQ and preparedness like driving behavior. This is a handy piece of equipment you guys might consider adding to your rig. This, a gallon of water, and warm clothing will get you through most driver stupidity, as long as you’re not the one they crash into.

Put on some security bolts. Will slow them down a little or deter the kids. BD security bolts are a fortune. Can be found cheap at https://www.fmwfasteners.com/ and they are stainless too.I would just be grateful seeing my off-road lights were still there after parking in a long-term airport lot!
You can get even more esoteric security fasteners on Amazon. Torx security is no deterrent - I carry a set in my tools as do most others as a multi-tool set.Put on some security bolts. What I do is try to get them off after I put security fasteners on using basic tools. The esoteric ones are used by rigid and i have a set. Vise grips can defeat them easily. The security torx have the post in the middle. Noted you can get any bits off Amazon to take just about anything off but my meter is can they be taken off using basic tools. Where there's a will there's a way however. You can get even more esoteric security fasteners on Amazon. Most thieves carry a multi-bit set. So do most enthusiasts. So that rules out all the common ones. What I do is try to get them off after I put security fasteners on using basic tools. That’s because just turning off the traction control doesn’t completely turn it off. Unless you have a Tazer to completely disable it. It’s still working the brake lock differential in the rear and applying individual rear brakes as it sees fit to keep you in line ?When I turn off the traction control and try to 'drift' in snow, my JLR makes a weird 'grinding' noise, but does not seem to harm anything. The short wheelbase does make sideways driving interesting, though.
