Great Snow Test

i know it’s not much but after two days of snowing and -10 to -17 weather I took the Jeep through a few areas with a foot+ of snow (zero tracks so it was just me through).

I like the new differential locks, within seconds, smooth as butter no worries of getting stuck, 4L was awesome etc

Find there’s an improvement over my jk in deeper snow

My locks before in my 17 jk sometimes took their time locking, here a quick tap up and locked, counted to three and locked, jk I’ve waited 30-40 seconds before.

Couple spots (where wind drift made like 2/3 foot small mounds) ran through those.

Lesson learned, unfortunately driving while playing with a phone while operating a motor vehicle is a ticket offense and Im waiting for my dashcam.

Though it did happen, wasn't anything exciting to watch (driving was fun though)

Was it necessary to lock the diffs at any point, or were you just messing around? Because if you had to lock the diffs, that's actually pretty damning on the snow capabilities of the vehicle and/or tires.

Driving around on a snow-covered trail/road in 4L with the diffs locked is a great way to end up at the bottom of a ravine.

It was just me messing around :P no mud and wanted to see if I had to wait till my next birthday for diffs to lock, on snow it seemed pretty lack of chancing damage

No ravines, just an old wood trail, summer it’s full of mud so somewhat fun

Vehicles have diffs so they can turn (inside and outside wheels spin at different speeds). When diff(s) are locked, your vehicle resists turning, which is not good. Lockers are for when a wheel is off the ground, or to help you get unstuck from mud/sand/ice.
