I didn't add the "urinator"....but I did order a tow strap to keep in the back. I could have offered a little help while I was out (which is risky I know, but some people were like me...had to be out in the mess because of work...) I will help where I can.
I do the same thing, and you’re probably right, if anything goes sideways and there’s damage of some kind, you’re probably on the hook. As the saying goes, “No good deed goes unpunished” …. But it’s still feels he good to help people, so I do it anyway.

A little snow is fun, but I’m ready to dial it back a bit. Mt. Hood has had 278” of snow since September, and a little over four feet in the last three days. The snow volume and wind has made it difficult for our plows to keep up, so several of our passes have been closed. Also, since the snow has continued, there’s been no opportunity to implement the usual avalanche mitigation measures, so every day brings a little butt-pucker.

I guess we should be happy to put the drought behind us! :like:

No thank you to either of those last two posts....I like the snow...when it comes and goes quickly. Never been a fan of the cold. I can tolerate quite a bit, but I'd never intentionally move to where that is the norm. I love my motorcycle, I love riding ATVs, but a snow mobile doesn't appeal. I couldn't find the joy in skiing either. Give me warm to coolish....40 degrees is fine. I can still fish. After knocking the ice out of the eyes of my fly rod last year I was done. I can appreciate the differences that make us unique, but i won't ever be a fan of winter sports. I do like seeing the photos, they are beautiful, with the second thought being "nope, not living there" ?

Nice to visit, but wouldn't want to live there. I'll stick with 70 deg sunny weather. :like:

We got several inches of snow overnight. It looks absolutely beautiful outside. But it will be all gone by mid afternoon.

I love snow, even more since I retired and don’t “have” to drive through it. Getting out and about in the snow in a Jeep is a hoot, just be sure to have self rescue equipment AND emergency (survival) gear on board just “in case”.

A full week of Snow here in the PNW, temps below freezing nearly 7 days. Jeep on KO2s did great getting out of the city and out to the barn to complete horse chores. Had about 6 inches fall on day 1 and another 3 fall Thursday.
We have just warmed above freezing so lots of ice now, but should be clear in a day or so.
Jeep is desperately in need of a bath now

When I turn off the traction control and try to 'drift' in snow, my JLR makes a weird 'grinding' noise, but does not seem to harm anything. The short wheelbase does make sideways driving interesting, though.
That turns off Traction control but Stability control is still on.

Tommy takes his bone-stock Willys Sport through some deep snow.

His Willys came with 32” BFG KM2 MTs and factory LSD. It does pretty well.

I think Tommy's narrator needs to work on his aerobic capacity.

"Just a slight incline...
Huff puff puff
...And they're both spinning
huff huff huff
But you're moving...
huff puff puff
Sideways!"
