Hey guys, been a wall flower here for a while. Background is heavily invested in XJs, and still have a '90. Got to say I really love my JLU, but now I live in the boonies and wanted to know if anyone had any experience with snow plows on these rigs? Any recommendations? Thanks in advance!

I put one on my 2018 Moab last season and it might be one of the best things I've ever done. Not best thing I've done to my jeep, but best thing I've done in my life, lol. I got a lightweight Fisher HS with the 7'4" blade used from someone on Craigslist for $1500. Had to buy a mounting bracket for $200 and a couple small electrical things, but avoided having to buy the entire headlight harness by running my own basic wiring between the controller, relay and plow itself. If you're just taking care of your own property I would strongly recommend you consider one of these or the Western Defender, which is very similar.

Thinking the same for my 2018 JL 4 door Rubicon. Still have an old Meyer on my 2000 Cherokee 4.0L and that uni-body has plowed my 900' (yes 900') driveway for 12 years. She's getting old though. I like the full trip blade Meyer offers that Mopar endorses, but it is 70lbs heavier than the Fisher HS. The trip blade edge of Fisher can slap you hard on occasion. But, I'm still on the fence...still lol. Finding an old 250 or 2500 or 3500 is better but you're inheriting issues and it'll cost more and insurance and registration for a truck you don't use much is bad money. Lack of a tranny cooler doesn't help, but you're not plowing a dozen driveways, although mine with the 50'x50' parking lot) is more than a few suburban driveways. Good luck.

With as much as the JL costs, my recommendation is to slap the plow on one of your XJs
