Ill be sure to send you some pictures from Middle St Vrain if theres snow on the ground.
That's one of my favorite trails. So beautiful and that water crossing is completely WTF the first time you see it.

When I was stationed in the Panhandle, betwixt Pensacola NAS and Eglin, we did receive a passing snow squall during my first December on base. It didn't last very long, but it was robust. I wouldn't have believed it if I didn't witness it myself.
We got some up in Tallahassee area back in January this year, but it took a rare polar vortex gizmo to make it happen….

I’ve seen and have driven through enough snow in my life. Don’t care if I ever see that cold frozen icy white bullshit ever again 😉👊🏼🍻

Oh, come on. Blasting through narrow trails in a half foot of fresh powder is f'n exhilarating.

Jogging at night in the snow and just hearing your running shoes hit the freshly fallen snow is one of the most peaceful things to do.

Sure, blasting trails on deep snow is great, probably why I took to driving on soft beach sand as easily as I did as there’s some similarities.

I just hate driving on all the salt and cinders that corrodes the shit out of everything it touches. Plus fuck snow blowing 5ft drifts in the driveway 😉🍻

Damn, gonna sort of agree with a bino post 😂🤷🏻‍♂️ except, cracking a beer in the silence of a snow fall while either working to clean it up or get a snowmobile running is also very peaceful 😉

Yea I got to do it back in July and it was awesome, and apparently the water was a bit high that day too so all the better.

My old man is coming in on Tuesday before our trip to Moab so I took Friday off to go wheel MSV and maybe T33 if we get moving early enough.

Dang, I have a trip planned to go up to the Mesa next month. Wanted to catch the fall colors and a few trout before the heavy snows started...

Last time we were on Engineer Pass from the 550 side we got caught in heavy snow going up. Turned around when we could and that was a mistake. Going down to 550 was even worse. Should have just continued on to Silverton.

colorado + snow = no fun. colorado + no snow = unfettered awesomeness!

This was at the top of Mt. Antero this past Saturday, 13,728 feet.

I would have not enjoyed that. Me, high wind and snow mix like oil & water.

Damn, that reminds me of being at the top of Y Chutes at Breck and barely being able to see my ski tips due to the whiteout. Not fun, but definitely memorable.

We saw the storm coming in and were trying to get to the top before Mother Nature. Since she can fly through the air and not need 4 Low she beat us. We sat up there for about 15 or 20 thinking it might blow through, but it just got worse. In that short amount of time the switchbacks for the first 500 out so feet down from the top had iced up making the trip... memorable.
