small rocks between fender flares

I have 35's and they do stick out a bit but I'm noticing with the design of the flare that I'm getting a lot of little rocks and stones wedged between them and the body panels..
I have painted flares and am looking for a solution on how to get them out?
Maybe a cake icing spreader?
Anybody else experiencing this?

Everyone has that problem, not everyone cares, as many do not have the painted fenders.

There is more than one build thread on this forum showing the use of weatherstripping or some 3M product to fil the gap. Unfortunately, I have about 10k build threads open in my web browser, and cannot easily find the right one quickly. I will keep this thread open and post a link to the builds when I find them.

Post #17... I took a few close-up pics... holds up after car washes (I only wash by hand). I used a flat plastic panel-remover to pick out the little twigs, rocks, etc.

I did this and it's NIGHT AND DAY! Best fix hands down, as it's inexpensive, easy, and holds up to pressure washing. Up here in the mountains of CO they sand the heck out of the roads = tons of little rocks kicked up all over the JLU. With this mod I went from a tiny plastic trim tool and 30 mins getting all the dang rocks out to literally rinsing or just blowing them out with my breath. This is a must do mod IMO.
