‘21 sport stock axles, 35’s, 3” lift had slight howl on lightest of throttle around 50 mph. Let off it stops
Just installed new Dana 44s figuring wouldn’t b any howl
But I’ll b there is howl around 40 mph same scenario let off no howl
Thought it was stock rear but not sure now
Any ideas or no concern? Thx

Mine does the same after I had it regeared. JLURD on 37's regeared to 4.56's. it's got about 12k miles on it since the regear and has been doing it since day one. I've had it back twice and they have opened it up and checked all the tolerances and they have been within spec. So to be honest I don't have an answer but would definitely like to hear input.

Same here

4.88 and 37s. Sounds like radio static in the back. Has it in and they did their inspection - no issues whatsoever. Can't figure out what's causing it.

They have put out the offer to replace the gears under warranty and give it another shot. We'll see

For the sake of asking, what gears are you running? We have Yukon Gears.

Thx for the insight
I don’t care it makes the noise but can’t believe the new rubi axle doing it also. Just wonder if some kind of damage is going to happen later Not sure if the stock did it early on or not

Truthfully - I'll have to check Yukon sounds about right, but I can't remember exactly.

So to be clear you had the howl on your sport with untouched factory axles then you ordered brand new Dana 44's with factory installed gearing and they have the howl too?
