I've had an extremely minor howl on deceleration since going from 4.63s (where it was very loud) to 4.56s. I'm guessing I have about 10k miles on it w/o it getting worse.

Just living with it since it's not hurting anything?
Well, the usual suspect is a loose pinion bearing. But I completely replaced that and torqued the new bearing as part of my regear, which I did with a freshly calibrated torque wrench. So it seems odd that both me and the factory under torqued the pinion bearing? Possible. It hasn't gotten worse and I have no reason to suspect anything is out of spec, so yes, I keep driving.

I also didn't see any unusual wear on the old components when I disassembled the differential.

My guess is it's my axle housing, somehow, but unless it gets worse, I'll continue running as is.
