While my 6MT Willys is being built was browsing the Owner's Manual which on the page 166 told me that
AXLE LOCK (TRU-LOK) FRONT AND REAR —IF EQUIPPED will only activate when the following
conditions are met: ● Ignition in RUN position, vehicle in 4L.
whereas
AXLE LOCK (TRU-LOK) REAR ONLY — IF EQUIPPED
The rear axle may be locked in 4H if the proper conditions are met. ● Ignition in RUN position, vehicle in 4H.
The Willys will not have front locker. Does it mean the rear will only lock in 4H and never in 4L? What is the logic here? Sounds rather counterintuitive.
