Years ago, when I first removed my rear seat for the dogs, I looked at making a little bracket like that, just never got around to it. I may make one up, as hauling just one more person seems to be a common thing, whenever I have the back seats out.Yup, I forgot to mention the 60% seat-delete bracket from Goose Gear. Well made and worth the cost. I didn’t take any pictures of that, but… it’s a bracket. You’ll only need it if you want to keep the little jump seat.
very nice! And hello to your buddy posing ?The hardest part was figuring out how to support the front. I used scrap from the same sheet of plywood at a height of 9”. Then attached everything using pocket hole screws. I also used a strip across the underside to fill in a gap and make it more firm.

There is room for adjustment one day, yet for now Im really liking the simplicity of this construction. It takes about 10 seconds to remove or install and I can reinstall the back seat, should the need arise, at anytime.Looks so clean. You could even remove the cover over the back cargo well and free up some headspace under there.
That is Smokey, she’s the hangar cat here at the Double Eagle II airport here in Albuquerque. Whatever I’m doing she wants to be right in the middle of it. ?very nice! And hello to your buddy posing ?

I was looking forward to seeing how you used the cat to support the front. The hardest part was figuring out how to support the front. I used scrap from the same sheet of plywood at a height of 9”. It looks like it’s somewhere between 64” and 67” from the back of the front passenger seat to the tailgate. I’ve got a tailgate table so it throws off the measurement somewhat. It’s 72” diagonal.Nicely done! I wish I had skills like that. So, its about 5'03" from the back of the front passenger seat to the inside of the closed tailgate?
