Show off your DIY painted dash

DO NOT PUT A WRAP ON THE INSTRUMENT PANELS-PAINT ONLY. The passenger side contains the airbag, and a wrap would seriously affect how it breaks open at deployment....like maybe not at all.

I bet some people have cause I saw some on Facebook showing it last year. BIG MISTAKE !

good question surely you could get it from the parts dept. at the dealer couldn't you ? did you ask them ?

I"ve checked with several mopar parts dealers AND the parts department at the dealership...as well as 3 different pain manufacturing companies..no one has even heard of it..and the code that jeep chat gave someone of JEL comes back to the icelandic blue of land rover

didn't the das come red on the pretty blue jeep ? i like the red with the blue. i have the red dash on my white Rubicon JL its just a nice red color to me but that's just my opinion everyone has their own

Done with Mopar rattle cans and a gloss clear. Punk'n orange.

i think i would like to try that with a decal first i do like the gun though

The color makes the interior look much more well done. Black and gray everything gets real boring. Not the cheapest if you use a paint shop, but a great finish

how do you pop the dash on the passenger side without setting off the air bag ?

When I had my dash painted I couldn’t find Firecracker red. I took it to a touch up paint shop and the color code cross referenced to Speed Red. Had mine painted and a satin clear finish on it.

that's the way it should look not gloss but satin, some people are going with a high gloss. it doesn't look right real glossy. the factory look is like yours. a satin finish looks a lot better in my opinion

you did take the pieces off to paint didn't you ?because I saw where someone did try to tape it off and paint while on the dash lol

Very nice I like that satin finish over a gloss looks more factory in my opinion

Go to Amazon, eBay or AliExpress and search for JL Wrangler Trim. There are a bunch of cheap stick-on overlays that are way easier than painting stuff.

Not the dash, but the speaker grille and Alpine subwoofer bezels.

do the speaker pieces just pop off ? I would be afraid i would brake it popping it off ?
