Just have to remember to drive forward only when you’re done. Reverse will scar the kids for life. One of these days I'm gonna get a bumper dumper.
What will they think of next?

I’ve been carrying this old Ames 82 around with me for many years….. came in handy a few times until I got to FL. It’s a little less than useless in the sugar sand….you take one scoop out, and two fall in….…. Just carry it now because social convention dictates that I should…..

AD handled shovel fits perfectly between the backseat and my Tuffy security box.You know folks there are many post about accessories. Yet I seldom see post about shovels or holders. Fact is for off roading I would not go without one.
Get yourself a shovel holder folks.
What say you??

I don't have a photo. But what I used to carry was a regular long handle shovel with a straight grained hickory handle. I simply wired mine to the rear of front bumper. Nothing fancy. BTW I would clean the blade with a wire brush on my angle grinder and paint it. Rust shovel blades make the work harder IMHO.@autotragic just because you don’t have a $300 shovel with a $300 holder doesn’t let you off the hook. Let’s see what you “carry” and where you store it.

I've used a very similar folding shovel, standard on my Gear Up, to help extract a new owner who put too much faith in the brand's marketing photos. Dude had 2WD but didn't know how to use it. The rest of the story is exactly as you're thinking right now.
this, i never end up needing the shovel, but multiple times wish i had the power saw. wonder what is a good one to grab, compact enough for a 2 door's storageI've watched enough Forensic files to know that no matter where you bury it, most likely they will still find it.
I had one of those folding one but never needed it, so I gave it away. I guess it does not hurt to bring one if you see the need. Personally, I have had more than 1 occasion where I wish I had a battery powered chainsaw, but never a shovel.
Couldnt agree with you more. Why broadcast it hey look I’m so tactical n readyI have a shovel but I'm not going out of my way to put it in a special holder on the Jeep I just carry it with me.
And you wonder why you got no street credCouldnt agree with you more. Why broadcast it hey look I’m so tactical n readyJK
I don’t need that type of hey look at me I’m like every other wanna be type of street cred. And you wonder why you got no street cred![]()
