Shipping a winch

Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone had advice on shipping a used 85ish pound winch across states. I know its gonna be probably over 100 bucks to send, just wanna know how it could be packaged.

Strapped to a pallet on freight seems like it's expensive like $250. I think UPS would do it in a box for about 100.

Would it be safe in a cardboard box with a bunch of foam and stuff? Never shipped anything this big lol.

Shipped my warn 9500TI from Fl to co in two boxes wrapped in bubble wrap and old towels with FEDX. Arrived ok. Don’t remember cost but didn’t seem to expensive.

My warn arrived in a box via FedEx. Keeping the winch from moving in the box is crucial, and then adding an air gap between it and the outer box.

Warn uses a lot of cardboard and little foam wrapping on the Zeon that was delivered today.

Outer shipping box
Primary Packaging/Display Box with Lid Stapled to Inner Box that is extra thick
Then each portion divided beyond that
