Service Stop/Start Warning Light

ok, what is this really? what will the dealer do, and if it's a fuse, can I do it myself?

this light went on a week ago; my Wrangler JL has less than 21,000 miles on it and I wonder if this is a critical thing or a convenience thing.

ps just had the 20,000 check up- of course, this light appeared weeks afterward. Appreciate your advice here.

More than likely your batteries are going. Try charging the batteries and see if that cures the issue. After charging test voltage and load test each battery separately. If one is bad, replace both.

I have had this issue for 3 years and unless you have the tech at the dealer pull the code while it is up they can not diagnose. Mine comes up everyday on my way home form work, never on my way to work. They diagnosed it as vacuum...Part on order going on 4+ weeks! Seriously stupid, whoever designed the electrical system in the JL should be forced to make license plates for the rest of their life!

forgot to add, Replaced my batteries with Odyssey (Main) and Brail(Aux) in July so It's not the batteries for me!
