@JeepCares has there been a Service Bulletin or recall on this issue yet? We got this message yesterday and are taking the Jeep to the dealer today, but they don't have any information on the issue and want to charge a Diagnostic fee, even though it is still under full warranty, 2023 JL with 7K miles.

Is there anything I can reference for the technician?
Hello, please send us a private message with the last eight characters of the VIN and a summary of your concerns so that we can look into this further for you.

I posted some pages ago about my Service Shifter message being caused by the swaybar disconnect circuit. I unplugged it from the green canbus connector behind the glove box and fixed it. Been several years (never did get the swaybar working again), without problem, but now the message is back and slowly getting worse. Looks like more debug time. Will update if I find something of value.

Ok, I think I've solved the problem. Short story is that it is a signal integrity issue on the CAN C bus. Primary culprit is the Tazer mini, but there are other confounding factors. I will document in full on this thread: https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/tazer-mini-issues.157482/
While you're there, take the poll to help understand how big of an issue this could be for others.

@JeepCares Can I get help with this issue as well? I have had the same issue as everyone else. Started with service shifter lights, Intermittently and has increased in frequency over the past 4 week. I have replaced the star connector based off these forums twice now with no resolution. Check wheel sensors and as much wiring as I can. I have 84,000 miles on my 2019 Jeep Rubicon. Last 8 of vin is KW626484. I was really understanding until this evening when I was less than a foot away from hitting a vehicle that pulled out in front of me because I lost power steering at 70 miles an hour. I have no doubt I would have rolled and possible lost my life if I had been a split second slower in my reaction and anticipating the vehicle pulling out. This is more than a minor safety issue. Please Please assist me some assistance or a case number or something if you can. I'm concerned I will not get any help due to the mileage and year model.

Good luck, I feel your pain. These are snarky problems to track down when intermittent. Your best hope (aside from it miraculously goes away) is that it becomes a permanent so that a tech can solve it. I don't think you'll get any help from Jeep if you're out of warranty.

Try replacing the canbus housing itself. This fixed it for me. Once out I could see microtears in the soldering. I was pissed when it was fixed for 12 bucks but jeep wanted to run me through the ringer.

@JeepCares My 2021 Rubicon Recon with only 30000 mi is having the same problems... (been having them for a while but now they are really getting bad) Instrument lights all going off, power steering quit, horn honks over and over for 10 minutes while all the lights blink. (Pull the CB to silence the horn). Jeep won't start. Not much hope that the dealer will solve the problem. Just barely made it to the dealer today with all of that going on. Luckily this all didn't happen when we were out in the middle of nowhere last week on the Mojave Road. I would have been royally screwed! Regretting the Jeep purchase! - I'm probably going to try and sell it and get a 4Runner instead. Used to love Jeep - had a bunch of CJ's. Now they are so unreliable that you can't even think about taking them offroad. The dealer said that he had a guy with a Gladiator stuck in the backcountry with all these problems. Had to pay $19000 to get it extracted - he seemed to think insurance paid for it. I think it's great that Stallantis owns all of the car brands with the worst quality reputation.

This is really a serious safety issue - I originally bought the Jeep for my daughter to take to college. I wouldn't wish this car on my worst enemy much less my daughter. She would kill herself for sure if the power steering quit on the freeway and she couldn't control it.

YAY! Here I am with this exact same issue. 2018 JLUR. 56k miles.

Was out driving in heavy snow, providing rides to essential medical workers in state of emergency. First day was fine, until the end of the day I got the "Service Shifter" message with nothing futher.

Next day I went out agian, on my 2nd ride I got the christmas tree lights on dash and shifter, loss of power steering, and engine fans to 100%. Only fix is to stop, turn off jeep, & restart.

It now happens ANYTIME I touch the brake pedal. Parked jeep for a few days to melt & dry out - drove again, no issues. . . until the snow started melting and roadways got wet. Then it happened again.

I initially had a BUNCH of snow packed in undercarriage and front bumper, went down a lot of roads that hadn't been cleared or even traveled yet.

I'm suspecting a harness short as others have mentioned, because it's definitely related to when the jeep is wet underside.

Going to dig in and will report back.
