I am considering using 17" and 20" rims with the following tire options with a Moab edition JLU. It's probably helpful to know that I don't rock crawl, ever. I am convinced that for the lighter trail rides my Jeep (Moab) will see, either of these setups will be more than sufficient.
What I am wondering is whether one of these options will provide better on-road handling simply because of the geometry. Any advice or insight is welcome. I don't know how sidewall plays into the feel and road handling.
Option 1
Tire: K02 315/70 R17 (65.2lbs)
Wheel: Black Rhino Armory 17" rim (9.5" width, weighs 35lbs)
Combined weight of tire and wheel 100.2lbs
Option 2
Tire: KO2 275/65 R20 (57lbs)
Wheel: Armory 20" rim (9.5" width, weighs 44lbs)
Combined weight of tire and wheel 101lbs
Thank you in advance!
