Are seat jackers worth it? Seems pretty expensive for what it actually is.

For me, absolutely. I had my 2019 jl sport s for a year before I got them. In that time I found myself constantly readjusting my position in the seat to get comfortable. Since having them, I haven't had too. That inch or so of tilting the seat back made a huge difference in comfort, that and installing a dead pedal too.

I put them in mine, noticeable difference comparing to my wife’s. She wanted them put in hers too. Could you do it yourself with a block of wood? Sure. Is it worth the time? No.

If you're not happy with the factory tilt, then I'd say yes they are worth it. I'm happy with the seats as they come from the factory...

The incline was a little too much for my taste so I got a little longer bolt and put a few washers under the front seat bracket and its a lot better for me, about half the rise of the jackers.

Expensive but worth it. I've got the shorty seat jackers. That and the MORE dead pedal and I'm comfortable on long trips.

Loved them on my 4 Runner, but did not like them on the Jeep. Great company either way.

I felt the same way. Two little chunks of metal and some bolts for that price seemed a bit ridiculous. But the driver's seat on my Jeep sat too flat and for a drive of any distance it would start to feel like I was sliding into the floorboard and had to keep pushing myself back into the seat. So... I bit the bullet and bought a set of the jackers. By lifting the front of the seat it immediately fixed the problem keeping me in the seat rather than just on it. We just finished a 3,000 mile road trip in the Jeep and the seat was amazingly comfortable.

Long story short. Expensive, yes... but worth it. And if you don't already have a dead pedal, I would highly recommend one of those as well.

They are expensive for what they are, yes. But at the same time, they're worth every penny. It's literally like sitting in a totally different seat. 100% improvement in comfort. So when you look at it like that, $100 doesn't seem so bad, even if it is just a couple blocks of aluminum.

I bought my seat jackers 3 months after I bought my Jeep, and my only regret was waiting 3 months to do it. Should have been the very first upgrade I did.

Agree……I had the means and the time so I made my own out of a scrap piece of Azek, a new bolt, and a piece of fuzzy side Velcro. It took me less than 30 minutes to do both sides, cost less than $5.00 for both sides…..They’ve been on for 2 years, and no issues….. I actually forget they’re there until someone brings it up, lol……”pics or it didn’t happen”…..?

Long story short. Expensive, yes... but worth it. And if you don't already have a dead pedal, I would highly recommend one of those as well.

I couldn’t agree more. I’ve had the seat jackets for almost 2 years as well as the dead pedal. Just finished a 5000 mile trip and was comfortable the whole way.

edit: I actually had them in my 2018 JL and took them out before I sold it so I could use them in my 2021.

I bought a set for the driver's seat and like others have said, they're great. But a second set for the passenger side at another $100, eh... maybe not. They offer a discount for former military, which maybe I should have asked for, I don't know how much that reduces the price by.

This is a timely thread as I've been considering these. The Wrangler seat isn't awful, but I'm open to improving it, however, the price has caused me to pause.

First I'm having a hard time understanding the difference between the the "Shorty", "Fixed", and "Adjustable".

1. Shorty seems to be 0.75" ($99.99/1x, $189.99/2x)
2. Fixed seems to be 1.25" ($104.99/1x, $194.99/2x)
3. Adjustable seems to be 0.375" to 1.125" but the site doesn't say it is "infinitely" adjustable in-between those sizes, so what increments are in the adjustable range? ($89.99/1x, $173.99/2x)

I'm 5' 11" with a 30" inseam and I know to each their own, but any advice on what would be best for me? I'm inclined to go adjustable so I can "dial it in", the price is the lowest of the three optional, and there seems I'm not giving anything up... what am I missing there?

You're not hijacking this thread. This thread is about seat jackers.

Looks like the Adjustable ones you linked are for the JKs and not for the JLs. That's what you're missing. I thought they were a little expensive too, but when you consider how much time you spend sitting in your seat driving, they're worth it.

I'm 72" tall with a 32" inseam. I went with the shorties (0.75") and noticed a big difference. A little lift goes a long way. I kinda wish they had a 1.0" lift, but that might be a little too much. I think the 1.25" might be a little too much. Oh well...

From their website:

• If your inseam is 28" to 34", we suggest the Shorty Seat Jackers® that lift the front of seat by .75 inches. The contoured Shorty Seat Jackers are compatible with the Contoured MMP.
• If your inseam is 36" to 38", we suggest the Fixed Front Seat Jackers® that lift the front of the seat by 1.25 inches. The Fixed Seat Jackers are compatible with the Seat Jacker MMP.
• If you're over 6'-2" and willing to do whatever it takes to fit in your Jeep, you might find our Seat Slammers do the trick. These are not for the faint of heart as they require cutting off the rear of your seat legs but they will stop you from hitting your head on the sound bar, provide a better view of stoplights and a clear view of your instrument cluster.

Buy the 0.75" ones. If you don't like them, I might just buy them from you if you want (I need to get a pair for the passenger side anyways). I think you'll like'm though.

These and a M.O.R.E. dead pedal make it a complete package for long distance driving comfort.

You're not missing anything. The adjustable is for people who aren't sure how much tilt back they want. I'm 6'3" with a 32" inseam, I knew I wanted the max tilt of 1.25", it also helps with head clearance on the sound bar for me.
