i had the pleasure of using my stock scissor jack in the garage yesterday. I wouldn’t trust it on the trail or even road side.

Is there a good replacement for it that can still be stowed on board? I don’t want to tote around a huge high lift jack.

I would pick yourself up a cheap 3 ton bottle jack at your local Harbor Freight.

I've used mine to replace a tire on the trail in the middle of nowhere with no cell service and all by myself. I felt it was quite adequate. What about it concerns you? Also I'm not defending it. If there's better options outside a high lift, I'm all ears too.

I have my HiLift jack and a 2000lb/CAP. electric jack I've had for 10 years, I have a 4000lb/CAP. electric jack I keep in my RAM

My jeeps electric jack is in that grey box at the left end of the recovery equip. pic-

You just set it in place, use a block of wood--plug the jack cable into your CONVENIENT 12vdc pwr plug--I have one in the engine compt/dashboard/cargo area--I can plug that sucker in ANYWHERE and PUSH THE BUTTON--UP SHE GOES-

If it's in snow-----I use the HiLift !

Had to extend it 3/4 before contacted axel. Small base, and seemed really light weight. Felt like if I had to replace it, I could for 7.99.
