Hello forum, have had my Scan Gauge II for about two years, no issues, no additional software updates/upgrades done to it. Was, however, thinking that after two years, may need to upgrade its software version for optimal performance, at the expense of $25 to send in to Scan Gauge and they do their update to it and send back. Anyone ever send their unit to Scan Gauge and how often? Thanks

Any electronic device with processor code that cannot be updated over the internet, in this day-and-age, is ridiculous. I recommend you take the loss, throw it away, and get a decent MODERN device.

Gladly take the advice. Have any recommendations? I used the ScanGauge for only a handful of things, in particular, for my diesel, to monitor regen status/turbo temp/diesel particulate filter temp/soot mass load. Thanks

I use the Scan Gauge III and it is WiFi updatable. I use it for my diesel as well. I got a thread on here somewhere for install location.

Not having a diesel, I’m afraid I don’t.

I'm using scanguage II and since it works I've not chosen to look into upgrades.

Alternative is the banks idash gauge. Really like the a pillar mount. I have my scangauge mounted in front of the shifter and that works really well for me.
