I've had my soft top fully retracted since Memorial Day here in Michigan. Windows still packed away. I'm fortunate to be working from home so able to mostly avoid going out on rain days. The few times I guessed wrong on beating the rain, I just threw the top up into Safari mode. Cool weather is coming but that's what jackets and heaters are for. Well worth it to keep driving my "convertible" as long as possible...

Dude if I lived in AZ I would strap a hydration pack to the back of my seat and rock my jeep naked every day in the 110 degree heat with big bug catching smile.
Lol.
You think that, but um, nope!

Think about turning your oven on to preheat to 350 or something. Then open it ip to put your food in. THAT'S exactly what it feels like at 115F when your going down the freeway with the top down.

Here in NY we get high humidity too. Sometimes it could be 75 degrees and I opt for the closed Jeep and a/c . A good indicator for me is I always rest my right arm on the center console when driving. If I lift my arm and see the console top wet from sweating then it’s time to enjoy the a/c.

Luckily for me Tucson is a bit cooler. The wife and I took a drive without doors, but with the hard top and it was 103˚. It wasn't bad as we have a little less humidity than Phoenix (way fewer lawns). My wife did ask if I would turn on the AC, which I said why and mentioned we had no doors on. She dealt with it and luckily I planned the trip so I got most of the sun, which makes sense since I am a redhead!! Had a great time and took a 27 mile dirt road. I clean the dust out of the interior every three months since we have so much in the desert.

I’ve never been to Arizona Will. I was under the impression you guys didn’t get much humidity.

FWIW - we took a night drive up to Crown King last night.
Left the house, with the top on. 105°F at about 4:00pm.
Got up the hill the back way (the fun, rough way) and by 7:30pm we had the top fully off, and it was 60°F. Much more comfortable temp.

That is the crazy thing about the desert. We can be 100˚ during the day and drop 40˚ at night.

I won’t even take off the freedom panels until probably January, here in SW Florida. Fortunately, it is starting to cool down a little, to 90 from the upper 90s, but the humidity and bugs are still a bit much. Plus, it’s hurricane season until Dec 1st, but we have had late storms through the beginning of January. If I had a soft top, it wouldn’t go on until the beginning of January through April, depending on how quickly the heat and humidity sets in.

You in the Bronx. I would have put the Hard Top on given that location since NYC is seeing a crime wave due to the incompetence of DickBlasio.
Yeah, your not wrong, the situation in Da Bronx is not so good. I pay monthly for parking in a local garage. I wouldn't park on the street even with the hard top.

Yep, I was going to test fit the bag on it, but it was a big enough pain to get on I decided to just take it off now. I’ll run topless for a few days before the weather turns next week, so not all bad...
Yeah I had to take mine off before I went camping a couple weeks ago.

On a side note, goddamn mice made a nest on top of my battery, while I was camping I think. Just discovered it on Saturday!

some bites on the wire from my air compressor going to the battery terminal. Damn vermin.
Get under the hood every couple days! Mice love jeeps for some reason.

In Arizona we have the dry heat and obviously no hurricanes, but we do have two rainy seasons in the Sonoran desert (only desert in the US that has this) so we have to watch the forecast a little. As for bugs, we don't have that many, but my Hellayella Rubicon is like a flower in bloom all year based on how much honey bees are attracted to it.

I hear ya. We’re in that odd limbo in SE Idaho where you wake up at 32° and it hits 77° around 1700. In another month 77° will be a fond memory like hugging friends and constitutional rights
