@JAY @JLWF Dealer Guy Took a little break, but can you believe this sh*t. I noticed a little rust when I first got it and spray it down and tried to clean some of the transport dirt off. This is unacceptable though. Thoughts?Heres a pic from me. Fahhhkkk I was hoping to look under there and not find anything. This was the only one "of concern" though.
But we're getting Off-Road Pages now.I just canceled my order for a fully loaded billet silver Sahara. Was really looking forward to my first Jeep, but the rust issues along with wind noise, hard top buffeting, and what seemed like a blown gasket on the tear down video made me think twice. No new car at any price point should have problems such as these. With all the advanced manufacturing technology available today, looks like Jeep really missed the mark instead of capitalizing on an iconic model. Is there no quality control at Jeep? Bummed and disappointed.
Nail on the head. It's unfortunate. It's insulting to consumers. FCA needs to kick it into problem solving overdrive on these things. At this price point profit is substantial on these. There's no excuse for construction this shoddy on such a still technologically simple vehicle.I just canceled my order for a fully loaded billet silver Sahara. It's a little difficult to know what they do and don't know the way they handle their customer service completely hands off through people that aren't given useful information. All we can do is tell our dealers really.does FCA know
I don't what that stuff is but its definitely not rust...its another material or something that happens when you weld because, reasons!Looked at my Rubicon, the welds look like dynomite showed. Mostly smooth and not porous. I have that gold looking color peeking out in different spots. It is not rust. I would say the welds were done very well. Mine was built in Feb.
...and let @JeepCares in on it as well. It's a little difficult to know what they do and don't know the way they handle their customer service completely hands off through people that aren't given useful information. All we can do is tell our dealers really.
