I’ve noticed in the build section of the Jeep website has two different tire options for the JLUR, I really know nothing about tires and wheels so could anyone explain the difference between the two. One is a BSW off road tire, and the other says OWL off-road tire. Sorry if this has been asked before but I couldn’t find anything.

Hi, they are the same tire. OWL is outline white letter, BSW is black side wall. It is your choice whether you want tires mounted with white letters on outside or not. I chose BSW

Technically there are two different tires. My Rubicon has black sidewalls facing out and there are no raised white letters on the inside. So they actually are offering two different tires but aside from the lettering, they essentially have exactly the same tread and specs.

If you do any kid of wheeling or dirt road driving I would say stay away from the raised white letters. I personally love the old-school look, especially BFG, but I have run a set of KM2s with the the white letters facing our and it takes a lot of cleaning/maintenance to keep them looking white.

Hope that helps.

OK thanks, I wasn't aware of that fact. Still waiting on my build. I went with black, but really went back and forth.

BFGoodrich has the nicest looking white letters in the business. The JLs with the white letter KO2s look sweeeet.

Yeah, the raised white lettering takes a little effort to clean up (especially with clay...), but it's not terrible. A little cleaner, tire brush...rinse and they come right back to that oh soo cool look!

It can be a tough decision. Both look great on the Rubicon but I gotta give the edge to the OWL since it is "not the norm" with the Rubi.
