I’m just back from the Rubicon, and hoooly sheit did I scratch up all my under armor and rails. I plan to coat everything in something to stop rust.. but what? Black rustoleum? Follow that up with something?

I use rustoleum for mine. I typically don't have a much area to cover as you do!

I use the cheapest dollar store satin black paint for anything of that nature. Since it always gets scraped off no sense in spending lots of time and money on those areas.

Rustoleum bed liner matches a lot of the other finishes on the Jeep. Otherwise I use the Rustoleum fast drying enamel if I don't care how well it matches.

Enamel is a good point.. I think I only have cans of primer and they will rust through quicker.

I was out there with Jeep Jamboree as well. Bought a can of flat black spray paint and hit all the areas paint was removed on my rock rails, hitch, and skid plates.

I've been wanting to try Steel-It just to see how it compares to Rustoleum. In those locations, though, I don't think it will matter much.
