I searched and searched for a reasonable and compact solution for my saggy useless nets. These “for unofficial use only” pockets are the bomb! Great flexible plastic, OEM feel, OEM look, and seem like they will be durable.
Yes there is a bit of assembly, door panel removal, drilling out old net stuff. But good heavens! What a great result!

Where did you get these from? I have the medal ones and they keep scraping up my legs.

LOL it’s my wife’s favorite caffeine free, non adult beverage. Im a boomer and a cradle robber, the 80s is her era.
I just barely fall into the boomer specrum and have lived the 80s era as well. Caffeine free diet Dew if you can find it. Techy guys would shake their heads when I pack a case for 10 hr work shifts.

Sorry to say... I am an anti pocket person. Just not enough leg room to warrant using a pocket. Geezo, my knee keeps hitting the lock unlock button.

Really anything is better than those dumb nets. I had pockets custom made and I'm very happy with them. During the design process there was a lot of discussion on how long a 2DR Jeep should be to look "correct" and which way a T-rex should be facing if it's chasing a Jeep on a door. 🤣

Here's the Etsy shop

The guy was easy to work with in terms of adjustments. He'll pretty much make whatever you want. The one thing I will say is he laser cuts them so one side ends up clearly being the sharper "front" side while the back is a little less polished.

Mine had to be redone because he cut both from the same side which means when you flipped one panel to install on the other side of the jeep now the "back" bad side was showing. He's probably learned from that mistake with me though and may have fixed his methods to cut them properly.

+1 to the cradle robber. I grew up in the 80s. My wife thinks the 90s are vintage. Lol. You lost me at caffeine free and non adult beverage. That math doesn't compute. Lol

https://unofficialuseonly.com/ you can find them on Amazon as well but from a reseller. They have great instruction, and a YouTube video. Takes about 1 1/2 hour to complete. Requires removal of door panels.

Here is the install link. I like these because they are plastic and really look OEM
Wow, looks great, the stock nets suck saggy and small stuff falls out on the floor of Jeep or ground. Love that these are semi-flexible plastic like standard car door pockets...as they should be!

I have the Unofficial Use Only pockets, and while they solved the saggy net problem and look clean, that water bottle holder digs into the side of my leg to the point where I have to keep my leg bent on long road trips. I can't use my dead pedal at all. And of course I can't go back to the OEM because those get destroyed when removing them.

For me, I would love it if they made a version without the bottle holder. That would be the perfect solution. I even emailed the company about this a couple of times, but I never heard anything back. I thought about trying to heat the plastic and somehow push that bulge to be flush, but I'm sure I would end up making it look horrible.

I'm a big guy (6'2", 280#), so maybe someone smaller won't have this issue.

I'm 6'2" 180 and doesn't seem like the water bottle thing would be in my way, not sure.

Can't believe Jeep made such piss poor door pockets LOL!

Will probably buy these soon, not sure with or without the bottle holders. :)
