"Heavy cutting cream" can make a mess out of a good paint job in a hurry. Better to start with an adhesive remover and a very mild abrasive polish with a finishing pad on an orbital buffer. If you still have a problem, consult a pro detailer. Maybe best to start with the pro detailer if your jeep is pristine.I'm thinking about removing the RUBICON hood decals from my 10-month-old Firecracker Red Jeep. I don't expect any ghosting once they're gone, but in case there is some, would using heavy cutting cream and buffing help minimize it?

I used a dehumidifier to warm up and loosen the decals, and they came right off. A little cleaner wax afterward, and it looks perfect. Thanks for the advice!

Good sleeper mod, looks just like a two door Sport S now, nobody will have any idea you have a Rubicon until you show them up on the trail.I'm thinking about removing the RUBICON hood decals from my 10-month-old Firecracker Red Jeep.
