So have been having an issue for a while on my 2018 JLU sport. The only way i can start it is with the remote start. It will not start just using the push button. It just says must apply brake to start but it won't regardless of how hard you try to push the pedal.

Any thoughts? I have replaced main battery and am about to replace the aux battery next.

Push the brake pedal harder?

for real though, any abs/brake light warnings on? Check the positioning of the brake pedal switch.

Have you replaced the fob battery ?‍♂
It sounds like the problem is that it isn’t detecting the brake pedal input and is cycling to acc power instead of starting.

It is not flashing any warning lights.
I tried my scan tool but ran into the issue that my scan tool does not work with 2018+ Chryslers

So when you remote start, you then sit in the vehicle apply brake and push the start button to be able to shift out of park and drive? Trying to rule out the actual push start switch.

After remote start You don't have to push brake pedal just the button. So the problem is likely in the brake switch

Do you have Jscan or any other tuner that would allow you to reset all ECUs ?

No I don't have one that will read or reset the codes.

If the brake switch wasn’t registering, it wouldn’t shift out of park. I’d bet money the OP isn’t pushing the pedal hard enough on cold starts due to the lack of vacuum assist.
