Remote Lock/Unlock capability

My other rides have had this feature. My GMC Sierra would (lock itself) as soon as I stepped a few paces away. Another could be locked while standing at the dining room window and pushing the lock button on my remote. Just realized I also have a lock/unlock on my Jeep fob............oooops, maybe if I took fob out of pocket or stood at window it would (also) do the trick???

It would if you pushed the FOB button. At least it does on my '23 JL.

My lock ,unlock along With remote start will work from at least 30’.
on my 2025 jeep Useing the fob.

You just now realized your key fob can lock your doors? You didn't learn that in all the grief you received in your automatic door locking thread?

I believe he is asking if the Jeep will just lock itself (without pressing the button on the fob) if he takes it out of his pocket and walks away. Like another vehicle he owns.
If so, no it won't. It does on my daughters 2013 VW Jetta and on my wife's 2026 Lincoln. On my 2025 Jeep JL it will never lock unless I press the "lock feature on the fob. Or the tiny buttons on the front door handle(s).

It will however un-lock by itself when you are close enough to have you hand on the handle though sometimes it my FOB is in a backpack and not my pocket I sometimes have to pull it out.

He knows it won't lock itself. He created a separate thread for that last year.
