I know there was a company that I saw on here awhile back that was doing one for one swaps or pay for the whole which was pretty costly but I am hoping that with the recon edition we could get a better deal on some. I like them I don’t need them so price point will definitely impact whether I make a swap.
Dealership. The Rubicon Recon now comes with them. You’ll be able to buy the ones for the Recon and swap them. Get a VIN from a Recon on a dealership lot. Parts counter monkeys won’t be able to figure it out if you go in and ask for Recon seatbelts. They can’t help you with anything without a VIN.
So I asked a sponsor from Mopar here On this site About ordering the recon red belts for my jlr and this is the info he gave me.
Thanks, Here are the part numbers
Front
7CG691R1AA
7CG681R1AA
Rears
7CG811R1AA
7CG921R1AA
7CG801R1AA
The front seatbelts are considered hazmat because they have an explosive tensioner within them so we cannot ship them at this time. We will be hazmat certified within a few months.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks,
-Benny
I don't wanna be a downer, but I gotta tell you that I had a JK Recon with them. The novelty wears off pretty quick. Is it cool? Yes. Is it going to be cool several months after you spend a ton of money on them? Up to you. I feel strongly enough about it to post it for y'all. FWIW.
