Took my jeep for its first top down test ride and noticed the rear passenger seat belts flapping. So went to an auto parts store and purchased some seat belt shoulder pads. No more flapping! On the jeep anyways. :)

I just use Velcro. Do those pads allow the seatbelts to be used while they’re on? If so, I guess that’s the advantage over Velcro.

No. It only takes a second to undo. Just leave it on the belt for passengers.

I've tried two different things that work really well. The first is cheaper (or free if you have some velcro around). The second is a bit simpler to use.

1. velcro cable tie. Simply pull the seatbelt downward (from the back strap) until it meats the loop just below the seatbelt buckle's tongue. Wrap some velcro around there and everything should be much quieter!

2. SpiderWebShade's Velcro Seatbelt Silencer. It's larger but easier to add/remove... It also comes with a gaudy logo on it, but you can rip that off with some seam rippers to clean it up.

Had that front seat belt flap with window down, Velcro padding solved, but later PRP seat cover install was too thick with Velco pads, snagged belt.
Deleted Velco pads. Front seat covers alone reduce gap to solve belt flapping. Something to consider if going for seat covers on a new Jeep.

$5 solution from Lowe’s. Works perfect and it’s Velcro so it take 5 seconds to remove. Tested up to 75mph
