Rear windshield wiper switch

I just got my first 2008 JKU but cannot for the life of me find where the switch is for the rear wiper. Turning on the front does not turn on the rear. Any idea where it might be??

maybe your vehicle was originally ordered as a soft top thus not having a rear wiper option and then someone decided to put a hardtop on it?

This is likely! Check near the AC button as well to verify. There should be a little snowflake and a rear defroster on opposite sides of one of the dials.

If there’s no rear defrost button, your Jeep didn’t come with a hardtop, and doesn’t have the plumbing for the rear washer fluid or electrical for the wiper.

You can purchase and install a complete kit, but it is a bit time consuming.

If you do have the button, then the rear wiper will be a separate dial on the same stalk as the front wipers. It should be closer to the base (steering column), and twisting that one will activate the rear wiper.
