While not cheap, this is an Expedition One rear bumper. The tire carrier is optional. It's stout, and awesome. The fabrication is top notch!

For those with sensors in the rear bumper, it comes with the holes pre-drilled (if desired). The lights are optional as well. I did order the 3rd brake light relocation kit from them as well, I just hadn't installed it at the time I took this photo. That kit relocates the brake light to above the rear camera. (and rear camera washer - IYKYK)

glad I searched this in the forum and found your pic, this is the route I’m going as well. Researched last night after noticing that the Next Venture setup has the wheel off center which would drive me nuts.

did you get either of the fuel can attachment options? I need to reach out to them for better pics.

I didn't get the fuel can attachment options, but I did purchase the hi-lift horizontal mount behind the spare tire. I do not have good enough words to describe how well built and designed this bumper/tire mount is. There is absolutely no weight on the tailgate and the swing arm has the ability to be locked open so that the tailgate/tire won't swing closed/open depending on how you're parked. (for example, if you're parked on a hill facing downhill, you can lock the door open)

I went next venture aluminum to keep weight down, improve departure angle, and improve robustness happy with the setup. Stock bumper was crap.

Rock Hard 4x4 rear bumper - 1/4" Aluminum with better clearance than factory. I wanted to save weight on my 2door and not have to relocate my license plate to the spare. I also have the hitch slider too. It has cutout for sensors. I used the supplied plugs and reflectors for the sensor holes.

i've looked at those (for the reasons you list) but was always put off by the Tow Hooks; they look like they're stamped out of flat plate or something,..?

how smoothed are the inner edges of those hooks? considering i'd be using them with soft shackles, i wouldn't want to see any corners on them.

The edges are almost square from the factory. I did round off the eqdges and clean them up before repainting them. I use soft shackles with my 41.22 hitch slider for the most part anyways.

I went with "mismatched" front and rear bumpers, although they look like they are a pair.
