My Dad and a â46 CJ2a when I was old enough to start walking. It had a 327ci in it and he would stomp on it then stop just to get me rocking back and forth in my seat which wasnât bolted down all the way. Yeah- front seat and no kiddie seat for me lol! It ended up being my first car at 14...
Same here, my wife as well- we both prefer manuals in our vehicles if it is an option. I had multiple issues with the clutch on my â20 JLUR, starting with the meaningless TSBs. I finally had it replaced through warranty, but it still never felt right. I ordered it specifically for the manual...
Nope- you were much better IMO with the retro look but itâs a jeep so freedom of expression is welcome no matter what. It looks good this way too fwiw
Just so you know, the clutch is only warrantied for 12k miles- so if you are having issues, slipping, etc, better get them documented at the dealer. It is separate of the overall drivetrain warranty.
I doubt I got to 20k on any of them lol! I was in my âprimeâ jeep days back then as were many of my friends. We traded them like baseball cards. A lot of us did this with CJs prior to this.
Definitely agree, YJs are turds but they also would weed out those that werenât true jeep peeps...

I would start with the uppers and lowers as well as a new shaft first like @word302 says. A stretch is quite a job and to get what you want is going to be more like a 6â-8â stretch. Lots of 2door guys have done it in JKs for the LJ advantage but it doesnât make sense in a 4door model. Try the...
Would have to see it in person. 2013 you could get a Rugged Brown on the JK and it looked good on certain trims. They brought it back in 2015 I think it was, it was a completely different color and not as appealing.
