I have the rattle and have not resorted to pulling the dash out yet, but it's going to happen.
In so I can read all this stuff later. Mine is when I play songs and it is always at the same frequency.

My dealer said the same thing he has about every issue I have brought to them. All Jeeps do it. It's normal.

Thanks Mark. I'm not taking my Jeep to the dealership for a rattle that I can fix myself. They'd laugh at me against the amount of work I've done to my Jeep.

Maybe Jeep could come up with an end user benefits program for those of us who choose not to go to the dealership? Wouldn't have to cost you money. You could just offer people a discount off retail for more Jeep product they want??

Just an idea that helps you and helps the end user.

Did anyone mention the clutch position plug yet? That maybe the cause... Probably came loose.. You can just tape it into a secure place

My wife dropped a screw down my defroster vent, immediately after I yelled "dont touch tha...aw sheet". She probably broke into your jeep and did the same, she's loco like that.

I bought a new Ford F150 in 2015. Just after I picked it up the speedometer reset it's zero at the 70mph mark. I took it in and the dealer replaced the speedo. For the next 2 years I had an annoying dash rattle. I knew I would but you can't go around without a speedo. It was driving me crazy but there was no way I was taking it back to the dealer. About a month before I traded it I finally lost my mind trying to find it and I went all Tarzan and pushed really hard against the upper right corner of the instrument panel. There was a loud audible "snap" sound. After that, no more rattle.

I found mine to be the panel that holds the headlight switch. When I heard the rattle I could push that panel with my finger and it would stop. I ended up with a tiny piece of black foam rubber just a little larger than the size of a toothpick and used a plastic knife to push it in where that panel meets the dash. That took care of it.
This was the source of my very annoying rattle/chirp when hitting bumps. Thanks for posting, my quiet Jeep feels like new again.

So your rattle sounded like mine. Lower pillar/speaker and center steering column.

My fix was 3 part

1) I have ACC so I added some foam to the plastic trim pieces above/behind the visor
2) Stuck my arm behind the lower driver instrument panel. I traced a wire that is attached to the steering column. When fuddling around with it sight unseen I realized there was a clip that wasnā€™t secured! With a lot of guess work and feeling around with my fingers secured it back into the hole the clip sits in. May have been easier had I just popped out that panel!
3) I think this is the fix that helped the most! Used a torx bit and tightened up the visor screws! 3 on each side of the Jeep. Driver side was insanely loose.

Those fixes fixed that annoying rattle when hitting bumps and stopped that sound that sounded like it was coming from the lower pillar/speaker area.

Anyone experience this? 2018 JLUR 17k miles. Almost sounds like it's behind the air conditioning vent top left of dash or under the speaker grill.

Rattles over bumps. Just started recently I believe due to hitting a massive pothole on the left side.
Yep. Just fixed mine yesterday. It was a wire underneath the drivers side dash. I laid down under the steering wheel and felt with my hand deep under close to the fire wall and felt a wire male/female plastic connector. It was apparently touching something to cause the noise. I pulled it away gently and even pulled it snug on both ends. I took it for a test drive and the noise was gone. I thought about taking it to the dealership but when I talked to the service writer he said he had never heard of such a noise. Really ? I decided to fix it my self and I did. The rattle from the tail gate I also fixed because of you tube. Hope this helps your problem.....

As simple as this soundsā€¦make sure your visor is snapped securely in place. Mine was loose and it rattled but sounded like it was cool from the dash behind the instrument panel, once my son snapped it in place the rattle went away!

Found my rattle today, broken sun visorā€¦ saw some ideas on fixing it here on the forum. Went with an aluminum repair part.

So I had this rattle too and this was the forum I looked to for an answer. Skeptically I was led to the visor. As soon as I unfastened and lowered the driver's visor, this bolt fell out. It had obviously loosened itself as all the other three were loose. That fixed.it.for me.
