I have the same rattle...sounds like it is in the dash or steering column? Would like to know if you get this resolved and what the issue was so I can take mine into the Jeep dealer with some type of advice

Yeah, I got a bad rattle from the center dash area. Driving me loco.

I also have one from the center dash area and have tried most of the common fixes noted in the forum with no resolution yet. You ever figure yours out?

No. But, at this point, I’m so used to it, doesn’t bother me anymore.

New to the forum but hope this helps. I have a Jeep rental business in the Caribbean and have 3 2018 JL's. All with the same rattle from the dash/steering column area. Nobody complained, but when I would drive them on the rough roads here it would make me crazy. I chased every recommendation I could find and nothing worked.
Was doing some maintenance under the hood and noticed the pictured engine coolant reservoir seemed loose(ish). I sat in the Jeep and had someone wiggle the reservoir and that was the noise.
Wrapped a good size zip tie around it to snug it up and all 3 are cured!!!
I'm sure this is not the fix for all but hope it helps some!
Now...if i could only fix the brake pedal vibration problem on my JK's.....drives me nuts...ugh

I’ll have to check this out. Looks like there should have been a bushing where the tab sticks through the metal plate. Also, my tank is white/translucent.

For anyone else that has tried these fixes and still has a rattle, I found that the freedom panel receiver/hole was the culprit... or at least a major contributor.

Some tape around the piece that drops into the container hole fixed it.

Rattle was driving me crazy. Sounds like the same thing so many people have been complaining about. After reading about the possible fix with the zip tie around the reservoir I figured why not give it a shot and VIOLA the rattle has disappeared! Thanks Island Life Jeeps for the great suggestion!

Thank you for posting this. I just applied your remedy (zip ties) and this seems to have fixed my issue with “rattle in the steering column”! Have had this for quite some time. Just drove it around the neighborhood over some bumps and I don’t hear the rattle anymore. Thanks again

Good news for you........... What color is your reservoir that you placed the cable tie around? White or black like the one pictured...
