I didn't have a spotter.

Oh no, that's not a closed gate, that's the gatekeeper to Walker Valley ORV. It is perfectly legal, it is mentioned on their websiteOh geez! Going around closed gates on video and posting it. You're going to get the brow beating of your life! Take my word for it, delete this thread.
You're welcome.
Right on!Oh no, that's not a closed gate, that's the gatekeeper to Walker Valley ORV. It is perfectly legal, it is mentioned on their website
That Walker Valley gatekeeper is no joke. I'm glad I had a spotter. I was inches from the gate. Good on you.Oh no, that's not a closed gate, that's the gatekeeper to Walker Valley ORV. It is perfectly legal, it is mentioned on their website
Agreed. We had a significantly better view than he did. It's all about keeping the tires on the boulders and the pumpkins off them.Done good without a spotter! I thought you needed to go a little more passenger at the 30sec mark and get your driver wheel higher to better avoid your tie rod and differential. I was cringing a bit at that point.
I am so glad I had a front diff cover. You did a great job…but pretty risky without a spotter.
I was alone, all by myselfGood job. You made it through with no damage!
Some advice - try to keep your tires on top of the rocks. At 0:28, you should put your driver front on top of that rock, you could have damaged the axle by hitting or dragging it over the rock. Impossible to see from your perspective, but something to keep in mind. (also, hard to see from the camera angle how close you were to the gate pole, you might not have had a choice!).
At 1:20-ish, you did a good job getting the tire up high and preventing damage to the axle. And good job braking coming off that rock so you don't slam down. You suspension can do weird things to you, like compressing more than you anticipate and smacking something under the Jeep on one of those rocks. Like exposed parts that don't have skid plate protection.
Keep it up, nothing beats experience! Please say you had others with you and you weren't wheeling alone!
