I feel a little stupid asking this question, but I am probably a little stupid so it’s fine. It seems by the way all these posts discuss this topic the discounts are on orders not dealer inventory. I can understand why someone would want to order to get exactly what they want. No one has said this but it reads like dealers ONLY give these discounts on orders. Why wouldn’t they give the same discount for what’s on their lot. Does their cost differ on the order or something?

Some, like Criswell, offer their discounts on aging units on the lot, but most only offer them for custom orders.

It's basically an extremely low overhead / low risk way of selling vehicles. A new vehicle sitting on the lot costs interest. They can get holdbacks, volume bonuses, incentives, etc.

Came here to say thank you for the due diligence and upkeep of the dealer pricing information.
I just used this to easily order a new Rubicon from Craig at Ourisman cars, and was an amazingly simple process. Id emailed a few dealers, but Craig responded the quickest and had the info I needed - and is about 4 hours away.

Anybody know if Kent Shurtleff is still selling Jeeps? I've texted him a couple of times over the past few months, but haven't heard back. Not sure if my messages are going to spam, if he's no longer selling Jeeps, or if he just didn't respond. Anybody have any insight?

Can we still order 2026 Wranglers? If we can, anybody know what the cutoff date will be to order them? Also, is the December 2025 pricing guide in the forum still the most recent and accurate pricing guide?
