Hey all,

JL is just a few month old. The radio and head unit have turned off a few times while driving. Clock on the dash goes out also. Anyone have that happen? I can always turn back on within a minute or so. I assume something is loose somewhere...just someone to point me in the right direction.

Thanks!

It could be wiring issue. Here is the link you can refer for your stereo problem. Hopefully it can help.

Pop the hood and then remove the cover for the fuse/relay box. One by one, check all fuses and relays to make sure the are fully seated. The JL Wrangler is known to leave the factory with loose fuses and relays, causing all types of electrical issues.

yeah it is nuts how many fuses are not seated properly. I had a few ABS and traction messages pop up at 700 miles on my jeep. then I read some threads and pushed all the fuses down. no problems in 300 miles so far. several fuses had ways to go before seated properly.

After checking the fuses, I'd check the connections on the radio itself. My wife's JLU had an intermittent issue with the HVAC panel; sometimes it wouldn't turn on until the Jeep was running a minute or two. A few months back I added a 12v jumper harness from @Quadratec to put a USB outlet on the rear of the center console, and had to pop the HVAC panel out to access the cig outlet on the lower panel. Once I put everything back together, that HVAC panel has been working flawlessly, no delay.
