I have the Racechip GTS piggyback tuner on my 2L that I scored for only $20 on fb. Ran it for 2 years and now thinking of checking out the JB4 product offered by Burger Motorsports. Has anyone tried it out? Or has compared the two? Wondering if its worth and if so, how much more gains can I expect? While the RC is great, there's always room for more ;)

Both suck. Get a real ecu tune. You’ll be amazed at the difference it makes.

What are our tuning options? The I don’t necessarily feel the need to push more boost but the trans shift logic annoys me how it’s always trying to get to 8th gear. Even more annoying sometimes when coasting it’ll downshift down to 7th or 6th and then decide it wants to grab 8th again, only to slow down past 40mph and then downshift again.

@bmpcamry09 is your dude. I’m saving my pennies to get an 8 speed tune from him.

I can build you a trans tune that fixes all that. You’ll just need a HP Tuners MPVI3 or MPVI4 ($new $400, shop on marketplace for a 3 to save), 4 credits through HP Tuners ($200). And if you don’t have a Tazer or bypass cable, you’ll need that cable too. Then $200 to me for the tuning when ready. No need for PCM unlock.

That sounds like something i’d be interested in, question though, with my 2.0 being etorque are trans tunes still compatible?

Yep, TCM is still integrated into the transmission itself and has separate tuning from the eTorque stuff and engine, we just won’t tweak the torque management and some of the shift quality settings quite as much because the eTorque system applies torque to smooth things out. The shift scheduling side of things is still the same though.
