Any details on how you did this? Could they be used to control other accessories? If so, it could be the poor man's aux buttons.

The cutouts are controlled with a wireless fob so the buttons can be programmed to mimic the fob like a garage door opener. Thats really the limitation, not going to do what you are thinking.
