Hi everyone. I'm having an issue with ram clearance and was looking to see if anyone has had the same experience and found a fix or has any suggestions on finding some clearance. I tried searching for this type of issue and didn't find anything with my build parts.

So here are the parts. 2019 JLU Rubicon. Stock d44. Steel box has been ported for ram hook up. Apex steering boost kit. Next venture track bar ram mount bracket. Rusty's off road HD steel drag link and aluminum tie rod. Rusty's dual sheer tie rod clamp. Psc 1.75 x 6.75 assist ram. Jeep has been lifted 2 inches. If any other info is needed just ask.

So on to the problem. Ram and draglink are contacting when turning to the driver side. I've turned the clamp twords the diff cover and it contacts that too well the bolt head does.

I've looked at altering the N.V. bracket to mount the ram body lower but then I'll have contact with the tie rod. I'm thinking about going with a smaller ram 1.5 or 1 5/8 as the ram body diameter is smaller. If I go with the smallest ram (1.5) will the steering be drastically different. I know if you buy the full psc kit it comes with the 1 5/8 ram per their site. But I'm not sure if that will provide enough clearance as it is .125 inch smaller in outside diameter.

Just wondering if anyone has this combo or something similar and what was done to solve this issue.

If any other questions please ask

Thanks in advance

I have the full psc kit on my 392 and had steer smarts full kit (tie rod and drag link) and the rock jock ram bracket (similar to the nvm). I bent the tie rod on last trip and decided to replace full setup with the new RockKrawler kit and had the exact same issue. Could not turn driver over 70% because hits drag link. I pulled the drag link and put the steer smarts back in and it clears fine. I think you could do the steering flip kit (put drag link on top of knuckle) and add a bracket like the synergy one to raise the track at (axle side) and that would also work but I have new axles on order and chose not to mess with it further.

Thanks for the response. Sorry for the late reply been busy with work and sleep lol. I don't think I can do the flip. Not enough lift only 2 inches. So that's out for now. I did order the psc 1.5 x 6.75 ram. I hope the reduced diameter of the ram body will give me the clearance I need. If that doesn't work then I guess it will be time to look into getting tabs welded or a different tie rod drag link set up.

Thanks
