My 2022 jeep wrangler failed to start, but displayed various "orders" on the dash to include place the jeep in park, etc. The jeep was in park and could not be moved. The jeep was towed and after several days, the jeep was "fixed." The purported problem was a faulty electric connection in the transmission control module. A couple of weeks later, the same thing happened. After dropping off the jeep via a tow truck, the shop was able to start it and drive it into the shop (As directed, I had disconnected the primary battery in an effort to stop a loud whining noise and the lights on the dashboard) on the secondary battery. After reconnecting the battery, a check revealed no problems. The shop kept the jeep for a couple of days to try to replicate the issue and they succeeded. After not being able to start the car, they narrowed the problem to pin 29 in the TCM. The solution was to bypass pin 29. I was told that this would not be a problem in the future, but the explanation was less than complete. Could Jeep cares contact me regarding this? I would like a more definitive answer. Per the shop, there have been similar complaints regarding pin 29 reported to jeep.
