To assess my black box, does pressing the housing cause the vibration to cease? Or is it internal?
It only stops if i press up from the bottom. Pushing on sides dont help. Ive read some threads where people take it apart and put foam inserts to stop the rattle. Seems to work. Im paranoid about voiding the warranty by taking it apart so I just live with it.

Not a rattle, but a squeaking. It took me several weeks to isolate it to the front, closest to the center console bolt on the passenger seat. I removed the seats to put sound deadening material on the floors. I noticed that bolt had loosened up a few months later, but forgot about it. I used some Loc-tite this time and don't think it'll return.

My 3.6 rattles like a handful of marbles in a metal coffee can when you shake it. I have, however, been assured by subject matter experts that this is 'normal'.

Confirmed. It's just a Jeep thing. Deal with it.~

Biggest one for me was the 3rd brake light rack. I simply removed it and mounted the brake light directly to the tire mount, behind the spare.

Had a rattle in the sun visor and came up with a solution for it: https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/fo...visor-rattle-vibration-noise-solution.126627/

Also had a rattle in my B pillar on the driver side, turns out it was the hard plastic water drain tube coming from the roof and down the pillar. Fixed it by wrapping the plastic tube with soft electrical tape.
I already installed those bumpers (post #27) after having the same issue. Actually...thanks to you - you were the OP. I especially liked the detailed guidance to finding the bumpers on Amazon. Thanks again!

Front passenger seat belt tensioner. Horribly annoying springy rattle noise, like a loose guitar string when going over washboards/small potholes, at slow speeds. Just the right amount of shake the vehicle and it would do it. I disassembled the entire interior one day, left all the seats in the driveway, pulled the trim panels and found it by driving up and down a dirt road. Disassembled the tensioner, carefully, and put a piece of foam in it. Between the inner and outer shell. Perfect ever since. 5 years ago now.

I noticed this one as well. I usually just bump it to get rid of the rattle then it comes back eventually. Thanks for posting the fix!!

DIY at your own risk of course, but it’s perfect now.

This may be more of a 2-door issue as I had it on both my '20 JLR and new '24 JLR-X...Sounds like a rapid rattling, almost buzzing sound coming from right behind the drivers door. Turned out to be the hinged gas door assembly buzzing/rattling against the body. After removing the gas door assembly I installed a small (about 5x5") piece of self-adhesive sounding deadening mat to the inside of the sheet metal just in front of the gas door opening. I then laid a thin bead of clear silicone caulk around the opening before reinstalling the gas door assembly and gave it 24 hours to set before driving, rattle gone!

TIP: I thought of this afterwards but the ideal fix in addition to the sound deadening mat would be have a local tint shop make you a gasket about 3/8" wide and the same outer diameter as the gas door assembly from thick clear-bra material and install on the body before reinstalling the gas door.

*Of course Jeep should have included a gasket between the door assembly and body from the factory...

In my experience, yes. It eventually comes back but that solves it for a little while.

OK - I will revive this one
Between 500-1,000 RPM rattle somewhere behind the drivers dash or on the firewall. Seems to occur just after the initial start fast idle dies down and I shift into drive. As soon as I stop (especially if facing slightly down hill) I can hear it. Oddly once the Jeep is up to operating temps it seems to go away.

Neither the master cylinder nor the coolant reservoir seem loose.

Troubleshooting has been difficult - with hood open I don't hear it, and outside next to the driver's fender I don't hear it either...

Any thoughts?

None... but it pays well.
Two large band clamps at the muffler. Not needed as the oem exhaust is perfectly in place. I wonder if some joker at work planted them over lunch time. Only rattled when I got on it. Obviously the heat range of expansion made it more prone on cold starts and in winter conditions.
