22 weeks in; who would have thought or taken that bet for a unit that was "escalated" the first week in November?

No word from Jeep Information Center since the first week in January. Our 4th estimated delivery to dealer window expired with the Martin Luther King holiday. Today our local, small town dealer reached out to their regional folks asking if they could come pick up the unit themselves: request denied. I am reminded possession is 9/10th's of the law.

At this point we have no estimated delivery date though the escalated and prioritized unit JIC promised they would follow through next steps was shipped before Thanksgiving last year–

"KZU" — second rail arrival–

—3 January KZU second rail arrival. Estimated dealer delivery 6 January - 17 January
—Rail: port arrival 3 January in Kirby Texas

—Rail: revised port delivery 27 December
—Rail: revised port delivery 25 December. Estimated dealer delivery 25 December - 6 January
—Rail: revised port delivery 22 December
—Rail: Estimated dealer delivery 20 December - 24 December
2 December KZT second rail departure
—Rail: 22 November 9:40am EST shipped with an estimated rail yard arrival 2 December 9:45am CST in Kirby Texas. Estimated dealer delivery 2 December - 16 December
—Truck: Toledo - Stickney to Toledo - Rail
22 November KZ released by plant and invoiced
21 November window sticker available at servlet
—Truck: Mopar Custom Shop to Toledo - Stickney
—Truck: Toledo - Silver Creek to Mopar Custom Shop Toledo
—Truck: Toledo - Stckney to Toledo - Silver Creek
9 November build sheet available at servlet
8 November G trim
8 November FCA cloned our order with a new VIN and VON
4 November D gathering parts
6 October F paint
25 September D1 gateline
23 August VIN
18 August Ordered VON
It’s scary how similar our situations are. I ordered Aug 19, hit 22 weeks tomorrow, and the train yard ramp date has changed multiple times. Supposedly it will arrive at the train yard here in LV tomorrow, but I’m not holding my breath. Even if it arrives in town tomorrow who the hell knows when it will be delivered to the dealership…could takes weeks I’m told. I asked the same question you did: can I pay to have it picked up by a licensed/bonded pro delivery service? Answer from factory rep: “absolutely not!” What the hell?! The damn thing has been been built for a month and a half and here I am still waiting. So over it at this point.

Yep. Frustrating. The dealer can't even retrieve a unit. And escalation has been a joke; apparently they monitor though do little to affect a change. They only like to watch—

The road goes on forever and the party never ends.

Latest response from JIC: confirming our 5th estimated delivery to dealer window. Our first window was 12/02/2021 - 12/16/2021–

<emphasis added>
Hello Bruce,

This is a courtesy email update regarding your all-new Jeep Wrangler factory order status.

I show your Jeep Wrangler continues to remain prioritized for delivery and currently has an estimated delivery window reflected to take place between 01/19/2022 - 01/27/2022. Please keep in mind, this timing is estimated and can be subject to change.

Additionally thank you for your response; I understand your frustration with the vehicle being in shipping for this amount of time, I apologize the estimated delivery window can be subject to change. We are working to get your vehicle to your dealership, I will follow up with you again on January 27th at the latest.

As promised, we are continuing to prioritize your order with our logistics resources to ensure your order remains prioritized for next steps.

I will continue to monitor your order with our logistics resources teams. Once additional updates become available for your order, I will be reaching out further to you to share these updates. Your authorized ordering dealership will be an additional excellent resource for any order updates or questions you might have.

I will continue to follow your order and provide details as they become available. Thank you for your loyalty and we’re proud to have you as a member of the Jeep Family!

Sincerely,

Cara

Cara…

Well, so much for escalation and promises that "we are continuing to prioritize your order with our logistics resources to ensure your order remains prioritized for next steps.” Our dealer has even offered to go themselves to the train port and collect this vehicle, only to be denied.

This unit was stuck in paint for weeks back in October; escalated the first week in November and cloned to another frame; shipped before Thanksgiving last year; arrived at the train port over 2 weeks ago. In all 22 weeks ago today (Wednesday) we ordered this unit and paid our deposit.

I live in a little town and admit it is hard for me to fathom that there are many folks awaiting their Jeeps at the Kirby train port that have been waiting for more than 20 weeks with us. Perhaps I am just too small town to understand what promises and prioritizing mean.

Looking forward to an update from Jeep Information Center since our fourth estimated delivery to dealer window ran out last Monday and apparently all we can do is wait for our 5th estimated delivery to dealer window to announced–

Hi Everyone, I am new to this thread/site. It's nice to talk to other people while we wait for our vehicles. Attached is my build sheet and below is my status with dates.

Order date: 10/8/2021
Supposedly production on 22s started: 12/16/2021
D1 Status: 01/10/22
Expected ship date from dealer: 01/25/22 (not hopeful since Jeep chat is telling me it's still in D1)

Questions:
Anyone know how long the actual build process takes when it starts?
What do you all plan on using for the Sky One Touch and Paint/Rust? (I live in Michigan so the weather and salt is damaging).

Very excited and anxious to get my Jeep soon. I love seeing everyone's deliveries here. Congratulations to those who have received their XR so far! - Ameer
