Finally home. After owning a 2012 JLUR AEV JK350 clone and a 2019 JLUR I have to say I love this thing. I was going to do a lift and 35’s on my 2019 but once I saw the XR package I placed the order.

Does anyone know if the additional brackets on the XR tail lights are attached to the lights or not? I was looking at an XR today and could not tell. I am getting my XR soon and want to order LED lights to replace the halogen ones. Thank you.

I’m pretty sure they are just spacers between the taillight and body.

thanks...that's what I would think, just wanted to confirm. I guess it would be strange if they changed the base of the light for an optional package.

Remove them anyway if you are swapping. Only there for OEM regulations

True...could just put on the new lights without it. There was a gap between the bracket and the body of the jeep and I was wondering if water could get in there...so removing the bracket and just putting the lights against the body would solve that

I would say yes since spare tire bracket is included in pkg.
