Mine look like that, except not as noticeable on white. I'm not letting them touch it. Warranty work is paid late and low. Not going to give them a chance to make it worse by cutting corners or putting the new guy on it.
It's a problem with the robotic paint system they have. It would make more sense to paint the body and hinges separately, but it would involve more labor and cost as the doors, tailgate and hood would have to be painted separately then reassembly would have to happen without scratches. There is no paint under any of the hinges the way it's done now.
If you use a wax that leaves white residue, clean it off and use a wax that leaves no residue. Also, you can buy wax specifically for black vehicles, that will leave black residue in imperfections instead of white, making them far less noticeable.
