Just to give you an idea - if you use aluminum for seat bracketry in a road race car, it has to 5mm thick.

Not the comfiest seat ever, but it's not meant to be either. Came out really nicely. Now I just need to measure out how big the seat belt needs to be input in that order.

Intention is for it to be a proper jump seat/suicide seat, whichever you prefer to call it, short trips around town.

But now I can fit three passengers, just you know one of them will suffer!
Love the can of Yuengling! Brewed about 20 miles from my house. Keep up the good work!

Sad day, I needed this to be 27 mm wide in the center for me to take the next step in using this in my Wrangler EcoDiesel. Unfortunately it was about 21 mm wide in the center.

On the plus side I never have to buy another oil filter for my wife's Subaru Forester.

Looks like I'll just stick with the second gen oil filter option. I'll order the doorman cover option for for $22 on RockAuto. And then all my future oil filters will be $6. Not a bad deal if I do say so myself!
I tried googling “doorman cover option” on rock auto and I’m not finding anything that is telling me more about this adaptation. Would you mind educating as well as sharing a link?

Yeah sure, so it's a second gen EcoDiesel oil filter cover. Meaning if you go on RockAuto you have to look up a either a RAM 1500, or a Grand Cherokee. I usually choose 2017 Grand Cherokee just to be safe.

While you're there you might as well pick up a couple of oil filters.

I'll have to go find my other post about this on a different thread. I can't remember if I post it on my rig buildup at this moment. I'll look for it a little bit later today, I have to head to work another 5 minutes, The gist is the second gen and third gen EcoDiesel oil filters are both forwards and backwards compatible. Basically people kept breaking the oil filter caps when removing the oil filters on the second chance and rather than just making it one piece and charging you a fair price, Mopar does added to make it one piece (idiot proof it) and then charge you $80 for the OEM part. But when the third gen EcoDiesel's first came out on the Ram 1500s, dealerships didn't have the third gen oil filter/cover combo, so many dealerships were putting second gen oil filters on the third gen engines with zero issues. Someone else had posted on the same forum I was looking at, that they've used third gen oil filters on there second gen Ram 1500.

Again I'll find that link a little later. But according to what I've read, it should work no problem. I'll be doing my own oil change for all the in another 2-3 months. I'll post about my own experience at that point too.

Also I swear I found that oil filter cover for a $22 somewhere, but I can't remember where right now.
This is a game changer for me! Thanks for sharing!

Thank you! Really curious about this, I was thinking it might be the Morryde mount. I've been staring at those for a couple of years now. I like the idea of mounting a rotopax (or 2) on each side but am not sure if the mounting points are durable enough, potential door interference, and anything else I'm not thinking of.

Have you by chance had a chance to get any more progress on the DEF tank relocation to where you cut out the cargo tub?

I am thinking about doing something similar to my diesel, as I would like to move it for more clearance, but looking at it it seems a little tight with the rear sway bar.

Do you think new lines/hoses would be needed, or do you think they would reach?

I appreciate all the help! Thanks!

What storage kit did you go with? ...And is it running ok with that installed without any additional tuning?

Wow! Do you have a before / after picture up to current? I’d think if you sold all the stuff you have taken off you would have no problem buying lift etc.
