At the dealer this afternoon to place my order.. We build it at the sales associates desk, and got the price. Then sales associate comes back and the price jumped when they went to order by 2K. For instance the paint is 295 online, but 395 when it's time to order. Cold Weather 995 online 1145 at order.

Dealer says it's Jeep doing that increase, not them.

This is not a known for being a scumbag tactic dealer.

Any input on this?

It's legit. Jeep raised prices the other day. Your dealer isn't screwing with you.

Prices just went up on Jan 17 and the online builder hasn’t been updated yet.

And possibly increase again by delivery (mine did) so be sure your price is locked. ( wasn’t charged increase)

When it comes to ordering a Jeep, there’s no time like the present. Sorry you got burned by the price increase.

Do make sure you get protection of your price in writing at the time you order to prevent further pain.

Also, make sure your definition of "Price Lock" and your dealer are the same!!!

My dealers idea of price lock was FFP at time of delivery including increases.
My idea was FFP on the POC I signed at the time of order.

At delivery they originally included the price increases. But when I complained they stuck to the original signed POC without much of a fight. Devil is in the details!!!

I ordered a week ago and had the same thing happen. And I have an employee connection at the dealership and still had to deal with the price increase. I had the exact thing happen, about $2k more than it told me online. Several options went up just enough to add up to the final price. Gorilla glass was the first I noticed. $195 to $495. Dropped that option fast! haha Gotta love this inflation. But like others said, better to do it now before it gets any worse.
