If you look at Rubicon vs. Rubicon X, the payload number changes so it must be already accounting for options. I wonder if the 850 lbs is based on tire rating rather than what the vehicle could handle. most accurate way of doing it is to weigh your vehicle as is and subtract it from the gross vehicle weight rating.

Who looks at the payload anyway? Load what I need to in it and drive. If it really drives like shit I'd take stuff out. My jeep isn't commercial so I'll never be pulled into a scale to have to worry about it.

Bummer, it's the main reason I went with them to replace my RockHard 4x4 skids which are 217 lbs, (listed 260 on their site).. maybe that is shipping weight though.

Do you have any comments or gripes on the MC skids. Any coverage issues, or fitment issues? I'm looking at installing them this week.
Might have to notch one of the plates to work around lower front control arm bracket. I have a 24 - they said they had not seen that before on earlier models.

I also think my driver side oil pan bracket needs to be trimmed a little as it's making contact with the exhaust and rattling a bit.

I installed these a few weekends ago on my MY22, didn't have this clearance issue. I assume that part is related to the bracket that prevents the passenger front tire from crashing through the floor in the event of a crash? Mine doesn't have that.

I think it would be best if all aftermarket products get tested on a 24+ to ensure fitment as it appears some things have changed slightly.
