2024 4xe is disappointing... gets no range increase

I doubt a non-4xe would have netted much better mileage at 80 MPH. Plus, the 4xe is not a good cross country vehicle. It is really a short distance commuter vehicle that can also go long distances.

The 4xe wouldn't get any better, or worse, mpg at 80mph vs a non-4xe. We had a 2.0 Sport, with Rubi take-offs, and the 4xe Rubi gets the same mpg on the highway. One of our 4xe Rubis has been doing a lot of highway duty the past 18mos and is a comfortable long distance vehicle for this old man's back, anyway.

I'd imagine when it gets a "real" redesign. Not worth adding new batteries at a mid cycle refresh.
